In Pomegranate, as with Fruit and so many of Morris' other designs, Morris' strong link with nature and natural forms is evident. Many designs were inspired from long walks around his childhood homes, Elm House, Clay Hill, Walthamstow and Woodford Hall, where he would show particular interest in the ancient hornbeams of Epping Forest.

Produced in the traditional weaving regions of Europe, these superior quality furnishing fabrics are woven on Jacquard looms by skilled craftsmen creating attractive textures using carefully selected yarns.
